Corbridge Roman Town dates back to the latter half of the first century and is located around 2 1/2 miles south of Hadrian’s Wall. It began its life as a military fort for the Romans and over the years became a vibrant town. Now, you can visit the excavated site and enjoy a guided tour; pick up a headset upon entry and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this Roman town. Alternatively, you can scan a QR code at the gate and have the tour right from your phone.

You are able to book tickets for your chosen date and time on the English Heritage website; you can choose to pay ‘Admission + Donation’ or ‘Standard Admission’. Prices are as follows:

  • Adult – £7.43 (£6.75 without donation).
  • Child – £4.50 (£4.05 without donation).
  • Students or over 65’s – £6.75 (£6.08 without donation).
  • Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) -£19.35 (£17.55 without donation).
  • Family ticket (1 adult and up to 3 children) – 11.93 (£10.80 without donation).
  • Under 5’s – Free
English Heritage members can enter for free with a membership number, but you will still need to pre book online. Book tickets here.
