It began its life as a military fort for the Romans and over the years became a vibrant town. Now, you can visit the excavated site and enjoy a guided tour; pick up a headset upon entry and immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this Roman town. You are able to book tickets for your chosen date and time on the English Heritage website; you can choose to pay ‘Admission + Donation’ or ‘Standard Admission’. Prices are as follows:
- Adult – £7.43 (£6.75 without donation).
- Child – £4.50 (£4.05 without donation).
- Students or over 65’s – £6.75 (£6.08 without donation).
- Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) -£19.35 (£17.55 without donation).
